Jerry Lepore, President and COO
Jerry Lepore is a 30 year veteran of the software industry, having worked with a number of top-tier technology companies as well as startups in a variety of executive level technology and operational positions. He has raised over $750M in capital to fund new companies and ventures.
From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Lepore was the Chief Operating Officer at Benefitfocus.com, Inc., the leader in software and services for the healthcare benefits market providing "Quote to Claim" technology for both enterprise and consumer applications.
Mr. Lepore has also served as the Chief Operating Officer for Cardean Learning Group, an online learning institute, and ProAct Technologies, a software company targeted at delivering solutions in the Employee Resource Management (ERM) and Benefits Management domain.
In the late 1990's, Mr. Lepore was the Founder and Managing Director at Pinkerton Scientific (PSCI) a new division of Pinkerton Computer Consultants Inc. PSCI delivered professional products and strategic business and technology services to executives in the Financial Services, Insurance and HealthCare Industries.
Mr. Lepore has served as the Chief Technology Officer at Cigna Corporation and the Managing Director of Microsoft's Consulting Services, where he was responsible for starting, developing, and managing Microsoft's Worldwide Consulting practice for Information Technology Reengineering. He was also the Vice President of Enterprise Technology at Aetna.
During his career he has had several publications. Some of them have appeared in Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and his work has been the subject of casework for the University of Manchester, UK. He has also been a key speaker at many industry conferences including Electronic Commerce World, CSC Index Executive Summit, CASE World, EnterpriseWorld, Information Systems Executive Conference, Microsoft's Worldwide Solution Provider Summit, and the American Insurance Association Automation Symposium.
Mr. Lepore has held many board and committee designations and currently sits on the Board of Directors for GreenWizard Inc. and for the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Digestive Disease Center. Among the designations he has been honored as a member of Who's Who in Executives and Professionals 2003-2004, ComputerWorld's Premier 100 IT leaders for 2001, and "Who's Who among American Leaders" for 1998-2000.
Paul Sparrow, Vice President of Sales
Paul Sparrow is a sales and marketing executive with over 25 years of experience in establishing scalable revenue-generating infrastructures in diverse environments including Start-Up, Turnaround, Emerging-Growth, Private Investment and Fortune 50. He has successfully marketed and sold software/technology solutions in a variety of channels resulting in sales generation as high as $306M.
Prior to joining GreenWizard Mr. Sparrow served as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Cambar Solutions, a supply chain/logistics software firm facing rapidly declining revenues. As a result of establishing an effective sales engine, coupled with driving strong market awareness, Robocom Systems International acquired Cambar in January 2011.
From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Sparrow was Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Benefitfocus.com, Inc., the leader in software and services for the healthcare benefits market providing "Quote to Claim" technology for both enterprise and consumer applications. Company sales and revenue more than doubled during under his leadership at Benefitfocus.
As Senior Vice President of Sales & Enrollment Services for Cardean Learning Group, an online learning firm emerging from an extended reorganization/turnaround, Mr. Sparrow reengineered all Inside Sales functions and generated record productivity including lead-to-conversion rates, gross and net enrollments, and sales retention.
In 2003 Mr. Sparrow led an investment group and formed Huckleberry Farms, LLC, subsequently acquiring a privately held manufacturing company. As Chief Manager of Huckleberry Farms, he also served as the company's Interim President until contracting the services of a management organization in 2005. Mr. Sparrow no longer holds any interest in Huckleberry Farms, LLC.
From 1998 to 2003 Mr. Sparrow was involved in the early stage through emerging-growth development of healthcare software/technology leader WebMD. Originally joining online health information start-up Sapient Health Network as Vice President of Sales, he initially converted a failing subscriber-based platform into a successful advertising and sponsorship revenue stream. Subsequently Sapient became WebMD's first acquisition in 1999. Mr. Sparrow was later promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of WebMD Transaction Services (currently doing business as Emdeon), an emerging electronic data integration provider formed just prior to his promotion through a multi-company acquisition. Under his leadership sales and revenues for WebMD Transaction Services rapidly grew year over year, consistently exceeding company budgets.
Prior to WebMD Mr. Sparrow spent ten years in sales and marketing at healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson's Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Corporation, a leading provider of prescribed ethical goods including anti-infectives, analgesics, and women's health products. He held various leadership positions in sales and marketing including Northeast Region Business Director and Product Marketing Director in Women's Health Care. During his tenure at Johnson & Johnson Mr. Sparrow consistently turned non-productive geographies and brands into top tier performers.
Steven "Bubba" Robbins, Vice President of Technology
Steven manages the software team and is responsible for the design and implementation of the GreenWizard application and database. He has 20 years experience in software and systems design and implementation. He has worked in both the private sector and the Department of Defense contracting world. Steven has designed and developed large-scale software as a service (SaaS) applications for the health insurance industry as well as several command, control, and communications systems for the United States Navy, USMC, and USAF.
Steven has successfully led both small and large technology teams to deliver applications and systems. From leading a small group of developers as a team lead to running the Engineering and Development of a multi-million dollar software product, Steven's career has been focused on discovering the real needs of the customer and the systems, working to design the right technical and non-technical approaches to reach the goals, and executing on the implementation to deliver real value in the applications and systems created.
As Vice President of Technology at GreenWizard, Steven has led the development of the database and applications in a very hands-on fashion. He has seen it through the stages of design and development from the initial "on paper" concept to delivered, working software that customers use today. He works in the day-to-day development and operations of the software and manages the iterative, agile process that delivers new application functionality to customers rapidly.
